The story of Amashika Lorne begins in the hills of St. Andrew, Jamaica, where she was raised in a close-knit household alongside her parents and seven siblings.

Family played a central role in her upbringing. Weekends were grounded in connection—especially Sunday dinners, where everyone gathered at the table. Alongside this strong family structure, she was actively involved in sports and extracurricular activities throughout her school years.

From an early age, Amashika Lorne excelled academically while participating in a wide range of activities that helped shape her discipline, teamwork, and leadership skills. These early experiences laid the foundation for her ability to collaborate, lead, and perform in dynamic environments.

More importantly, they shaped her mindset.

She developed a strong belief that her opportunities were not limited by her environment—that she could think globally, aim higher, and create her own path.

She later earned a Bachelor of Science in International Relations from the University of the West Indies, Mona in 2015, strengthening her foundation in global communication, strategy, and international perspective.

The impact of Chat Tu Mi & Colour continues to expand:

  • Reaching over 1.5 million readers
